Meet Our Team

Michael has over 60 years experience in the building industry, starting in 1958 as a carpenter. In 1972, with the help of Brian Baker, Michael formed Baker & Joiner, turning it into Baker & Joiner Ltd in 1978.

Hard work and determination over subsequent years has meant a reputation for dependability and excellence enjoyed by Baker Joiner today.

Outside of work, Michael is CEO of Chasetown Football Club and also Chairman of the Midlands Football Alliance (MBA) of which he was a founder member.

Richard joined Baker Joiner in 1994 following sitting business and finance at Derby University. He worked on the tools for 3 years until a project management role followed

Since 1997 Richard has overseen thousands of projects including small domestic insurance claims, works to listed buildings, large commercial claims, hospital ward refurbs, doctors surgery reconstructions and various works to government buildings.

Richard is currently responsible for the day to day running of the company. Away from work, Richard is a keen follower of sports and enthusiastic if ineffective golfer.
